Club/Party/Event DJ based in Australia and Singapore.
Funky, feel-good sounds across a range of genres. Hip-Hop, Funk, Soul, Reggae, House, Disco, & NuDisco are the cornerstones of my sound. I can also play Retro, Top-40, etc if a client requests it for a party or event.
LOTS of professional DJing experience; everything from small bars to huge beach parties, weddings, specialist music nights (eg Hip-Hop, Reggae), all-vinyl nights, a cruise ship, and even a few kids' parties.
Recent activity:
2023: I've been playing at Hobart Brewing Co, Hanging Gardens, The Still, Telegraph Hotel, New Sydney Hotel, and other locations around Hobart. Earlier in the year, I DJed at events in major cities across the USA & Canada for 3 months.
2022: I did another 3 month stint of USA gigs, followed by gigs in NZ, the UK, Europe, and Singapore.
I took a break during 2020-2021, due to the pandemic and the restrictions on international travel. (Still trying to forget!)
In 2019, I DJed in nine countries. Highlights included gigs in New York, LA, Dubai, London, Amsterdam, Johannesburg and Sydney. Those are just a few fun places I've played professionally; the list is pretty long!
Now, living in Hobart again, I'm keen to connect with DJs and venues, to keep the party going!
I started spinning Hip-Hop records in public as a youngster in the late 80s to early 90s, on Hobart's THE-FM. My show became a focal point for Hobart's early Hip-Hop scene. I went by various names over the years, including Dope DJ Double D, DJ Dru and DJ D-Swift.
In the mid-to-late 90s, I was spinning the same records (and some new ones) in clubs across Tasmania, filling dancefloors from The Syte in Launceston to Gatecrasher and CKs in Hobart, and was part of Launceston's legendary Ghettoblast radio show crew.
Fast forward another decade to 2009, and after a break I relaunched my DJ career in Singapore. This is where it all came together for me, hosting successful Hip-Hop nights, as well as branching out into the beach bar, lounge, and club scenes, doing a bunch of all-vinyl funk/soul/disco nights, and DJing for corporate and private parties & events.
In recent years (except for a break during the Pandemic) I've maintained a busy schedule of international DJ gigs, playing professionally in such far-flung locations as New York, Chicago, Miami, Toronto, London, Amsterdam, Dubai, Johannesburg, New Delhi, to name but a few.
Musically, I always try to deliver a feel-good vibe, creating an atmosphere to suit the crowd and the occasion.
Having branched out from my Hip-Hop roots to encompass a broad range of styles, you can expect anything from Deep, Soulful and Latin House, to Funk/Soul/Disco/NuDisco, Balearic, Tropical, "Retro", and even Top-40. As long as it works, there are no limits!

And closer to home, I played at oldskool Tassie venues such as Babylon, Regines, Gatecrasher, Round Midnight, Juice, Syte, CKs, Klued In Clothing, and others lost to the mists of time...!
